- Melissa has spoken at a national staff development conference on the subject of nurse preceptor training and presented posters on preceptor training and the restructuring of a hospital-based nursing education department. She was an invited speaker at the annual Health Professions and Nursing Education Coalition Capitol Hill Day.
- Melissa is a member of a number of professional and advocacy organizations, including the ANA, NHNHA, NH Healthy Climate, and the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators.
