The Office of Conference & Event Services is responsible for the scheduling and facilitation of all events for academic departments, administrative offices, and student clubs and organizations.
This office is the primary liaison between planners and on-campus service providers. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation of each event held on campus.

Davison Hall
At the campus’ main dining facility, our hospitality staff provides everything from extravagant four-course meals served on linen-dressed tables to less formal gatherings such as buffets and barbeques. One of the most stunning buildings on campus, Davison Hall features a high, beamed ceiling and graceful arched windows that echo the architecture of our Abbey Church.
Coffee Shop and Pub
Located behind historic Alumni Hall, the Coffee Shop and Pub is a cozy eatery with a relaxed atmosphere. On sunny days, the Coffee Shop deck is the ideal place for a casual lunch.
Residence Halls
All residence halls are within walking distance to classrooms, the library, and dining and athletic facilities. Comfortable single rooms, doubles, apartments, and townhouses are available in attractively landscaped settings. Common areas and kitchen facilities add to the convenience. Overnight accommodations are available during our summer conference season.
New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College
Dedicated in 2001, this 20,000-square-foot facility includes a state-of-the-art auditorium, a fully equipped TV studio, classrooms, seminar rooms, and a computer lab. During presidential primary years, the NHIOP is at the heart of the local and national political activity.
Carr Activities Center
A multi-purpose facility with multiple basketball, volleyball, racquetball, and tennis courts, the Carr Activities Center also houses our 9,000-square-foot fitness center. This three-level space has floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the baseball field and the turf field at Grappone Stadium. Equipment includes state-of-the-art treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical machines, strength machines, and free weights.
Stoutenburgh Gymnasium
Stoutenburgh seats 1,200 patrons at basketball games and serves the community with space for social functions and recreational sports. Stoutenburgh contains a full-service equipment room, storage, training and locker rooms, and laundry facilities.
Thomas F. Sullivan Arena
Home to Saint Anselm’s men’s and women’s hockey teams, Sullivan Arena is ideal for ice hockey camps and other skating-related activities. The facility was built in 2003 and contains training and locker rooms, laundry facilities, and space for banquets and other functions. The arena was the setting for nationally televised presidential primary debates during the 2008 and 2012 election cycles.
Dana Center for the Humanities
The Dana Center provides an optimal location for meetings, easily accommodating general sessions and breakouts. The stage of the 575-seat Koonz Theatre holds cultural and political events of all kinds—from acrobatic performances to lectures on Michelangelo to nationally televised presidential debates.
Classrooms
Classrooms are located in Joseph Hall, Poisson Hall, Goulet Science Center, and Gadbois Hall. When classes are not in session, theses buildings offer space for workshops, and lectures, and meetings. Recently renovated, Joseph Hall features modern seminar rooms with the latest technology, including Smart boards.
Saint Anselm Abbey
The Abbey Church is a peaceful place for prayer and reflection in accordance with your own beliefs. An architectural gem, the cylindrical church has an arched interior of wood, slate, and red brick. Dutch artist Joep Nicolas designed the huge stained glass windows, making a wall of 4,500 square feet of glass.
Sand, Surf, and Seafood
The sandy beaches, tide pools, and scenic cliffs of Maine and New Hampshire’s coast are within an easy drive. Hampton Beach, Rye Beach, Wallis Sands, Odiorne Point, and Ogunquit are a few of the best spots. You can even go whale-watching in Portsmouth!
Mountain Beauty
The White Mountains inspire poets, painters, and outdoor sports enthusiasts. Hikers, rock climbers, mountain bikers, and skiers find lots to do.
Lovely Lakes
Pack a picnic and bring a camera. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services includes 959 lakes in its official list of public waters. Winnipesaukee, Newfound, Squam, and Sunapee are the largest—and the loons love them.
Tax-Free Shopping
Tax-free New Hampshire’s malls, specialty shops, and boutiques are a big attraction for bargain hunters.
Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, and More
The homes of Boston’s professional sports teams are only an hour away. Closer to campus, you can see Manchester’s minor league Fisher Cats baseball team or the Manchester Monarchs hockey team.
