The information that follows is intended to be a brief overview of our benefit offerings. New benefit-eligible employees will be invited to attend an orientation program during which employee benefit programs are explained in detail. Medical Insurance
Saint Anselm College provides medical coverage through Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Employees are eligible to participate in this plan on the first day of the month following their date of hire. The College offers the Harvard Pilgrim HMO-LP plan which has a $500 individual/$1,500 family deductible and $25/$50 office visit copayments. A five-tier prescription drug plan is included in the medical plan. The College contributes 76% to the monthly cost of coverage.
Dental Insurance
Saint Anselm College provides dental coverage through Northeast Delta Dental. The College offers Delta Dental’s PPO Plus Premier plan. Employees are eligible to participate in this plan on the first day of the month following their date of hire. The dental plan provides 100% coverage for diagnostic and preventive procedures, 80% coverage for basic restorative treatment, and 50% coverage for major restorative treatment. The plan also provides 50% coverage for orthodontics for children under the age of 19. The College contributes 74% to the monthly cost of coverage.
Vision Insurance
Saint Anselm College provides vision coverage through Delta Vision, supported by the EyeMed Vision Care network. Employees are eligible to participate in this plan on the first day of the month following their date of hire. The vision plan provides a reduced copayment for an in-network eye exam and provides a $130 allowance towards the purchase of glasses and/or contact lenses. The cost of coverage is fully employee-paid.
Life Insurance
Saint Anselm College provides full-time employees with a basic life and accidental death & dismemberment policy through Reliance Standard Life Insurance in the amount of 1.5x base salary, up to a maximum of $200,000, at no cost. Employees are eligible for this benefit on the first day of the month following their date of hire. Additionally, Saint Anselm College offers employees the opportunity to purchase additional supplemental life insurance coverage for themselves, and for their spouses and dependent children. Supplemental life insurance coverage is fully employee-paid on a post-tax basis.
Disability Insurance & Leave Benefits
Saint Anselm College provides employees with both short-term and long-term disability benefits. Employees are eligible for these benefits on the first day of the month following one year of continuous employment. Disability insurance is at no-cost to the employee.
Short-term disability benefits are self-funded by Saint Anselm College and provides 60% wage replacement. Short-term disability begins after fifteen calendar days of absence and continues for up to a maximum of six months.
Long-term disability benefits are provided through Reliance Standard Life Insurance and provides 60% wage replacement. Employees may apply for long-term disability benefits if an absence lasts longer than the six months permitted under the short-term disability plan.
Saint Anselm College also offers parental leave benefits to new parents! New moms and dads are eligible to take up to 6 weeks of leave – fully-paid – to bond with and care for their new baby.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
Saint Anselm College offers employees the option of electing a Health Flexible Spending Account and/or a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account. These pre-tax savings accounts can be used for certain IRS-eligible expenses for the employee and their dependents. Flexible Spending Accounts are administered by Benefit Resource, Inc.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The employee assistance program, SupportLinc, is available to all full- and part-time employees. SupportLinc is a free, confidential resource. While it is administered by the HR Department, we never receive the names of people who reach out to SupportLinc for support.

Time Off Benefits
Saint Anselm College grants both sick and vacation time to full-time employees. Sick and vacation time accrue based on years of service.
Saint Anselm College offers paid time off for observance of the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.

403(b) Retirement Plan
Saint Anselm College offers a 403(b) Retirement Plan through TIAA. All employees are eligible to contribute their own money to the retirement plan – either on a pre-tax basis or on a post-tax (Roth) basis – beginning on the first day of the month following their date of hire. All contributions made to the retirement plan are 100% vested.
Employees working a minimum of 1,000 hours per year will be eligible to receive College contributions to the plan after two years of employment. A prior service waiver is available for employees who have two years of prior service at another higher education institution within the last five years. Once eligible for College contributions, Saint Anselm will contribute 7% of base salary to the plan. Saint Anselm College will also match 50% up to the first 3% of contributions to the plan.
