The Help Desk is the central point of contact for the provisioning of all services by the Office of Information Technology (OIT).
To establish and maintain a consistent, standard response process to calls for Help Desk support, OIT uses an industry-leading help desk software package coupled with a Directed Resource Support Model. The focus of this approach is to direct requests to the most appropriate support service at the appropriate priority level. The Customer Service Total Ownership approach keeps the focus on requests to ensure they are not forgotten as they progress to resolution. Customer Service follows the progress of all open tickets.
Through the successful implementation of this program we are able to provide quality service that can be measured and tracked. These tools help us analyze our service calls and adjust procedures and techniques as required to improve service to our customers.
In addition, OIT provides student help desk services and support through a network of student employees in a program called HawkNet.

Wired Network Access
To connect to the wired campus network, you will need a network-capable computer. This is done using an Ethernet card that supports transmission rates of 10/100/1000 megabits per second (Mbps).
To connect your computer or gaming device to your RJ-45 wall jack, you will need an ethernet cable and potentially a USB to ethernet adapter dependent on your computer connectivity options (we usually see gaming consoles perform better using a wired connection). If you need an Ethernet cable, you may purchase one at the College Bookstore, any computer store or supply outlet.
