Joanna has been invited to speak at a variety of conferences put on through Saint Anselm College's Continuing Nursing Education Department. Her topics of interest focus on professional/personal growth, developing clinical judgment, resiliency, and managing burnout.
She has been on planning committees for various conferences through the Saint Anselm College Continuing Nursing Education Department and has served on the Sigma Theta Tau, Epsilon Tau at Large Chapter's Programming Committee.
She serves as the Competency Based Education (CBE) Champion, where she is a liaison between the Jean School's nursing faculty and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing to fully integrate CBE into the nursing curriculum. Her work is dedicated to supporting nursing students by creating an environment that prepares them for the challenges of being an advocate for self, patient and the profession.
