Dr. Caryn (Sheehan) Vallante has authored more than 14 published articles, two text books, and has presented locally, nationally and internationally at community and scholarly nursing conferences. Her research and areas of professional nursing interest include pedagogy and technology in nursing education, oncology, hospice/palliative care, men's health, chronic pain, gratitude, and quality of life. She is an ANCC Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Educator, and National ELNEC (End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium) Core Trainer. She is most thankful for her amazing family and esteemed colleagues and mentors. And professionally, she is most proud of her two (2012, 2022) American Journal of Nursing (AJN) “Book of the Year” awards in Palliative Care, and her three Saint Anselm College Student Government “Faculty Member of the Year” awards.
