Dr. MacLeod has authored more than eight peer-reviewed publications in academic journals, five book chapters, co-authored two critical care textbooks and has participated in more than 28 peer and non-peer reviewed presentations in the areas of interprofessional collaboration, cardiac surgery, management of cardiac disease, cardiac nursing care and cardiac family caregiver research.
Dr. MacLeod has conducted nursing research funded by the Joyce C. Clifford Organization, NIH INBRE, and an NINR R01 since 2004. In addition, she has peer reviewed for Nursing Critical Care and the International Journal of Nursing Knowledge and has held the positions of President and Vice President of the Sigma Theta Tau, Epsilon Tau at Large Chapter.
At Saint Anselm College, Dr. MacLeod has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including the Abbot Gerald McCarthy, O.SB. ‘36 Faculty Member of the Year Award by the Student Government Association in 2019.
