Summer is around the corner, so for Frazzle Free Finals we're off to camp! Whether you're just stopping by for a snack or camping out to study, Geisel Library has a bucketful of summer camp activities and treats to help lighten your finals week load.

Geisel Library will host its 33rd Annual Book Sale during Family Weekend. Open to the public Friday, September 22, 2023 through Sunday, September 24, 2023, during the library's hours of operation, the sale includes thousands of books, across academic disciplines and genres, fiction and non-fiction alike. This year's sale offers extensive offerings in religion and theology, literature and drama, cookbooks, history, and politics. Also on sale are DVDs, VHS tapes and music CDs, as well as board games and puzzles. 

Pricing:

$1 paperbacks, audiovisual materials, and puzzles

$2 hardcover books and board games

A separate specials table will be set up for unique titles and large book sets.

Students graduating with their Master's in Education with Special Education Licensure will receive their hoods at a ceremony in the President's Dining Room.

This full day, in person conference will offer a variety of topics from multiple speakers pertaining to the care of the geriatric patient.  We will look to the past in our session on Florence Nightingale: Lessor Saint, Social Activist, Political Reformer and Accidental Nurse.  We will discuss the challenges of providing long term care in an acute setting, take a look at the latest in Alzheimer's and dementia research and consider the ethical dilemmas most relevant to today's current practice.  As we plan for the future of geriatric care we will examine how to protect our most vulnerable elders from abuse and discover the systemic changes and policy needed to improve healthy aging.

6.75 Nursing Contact Hours will be earned
