Master in Public Health (MPH) Pathway Program

If you’re interested in continuing your education after Saint Anselm in the field of public health you may be attracted to a partnership with Tuft’s University’s School of Medicine to earn a Master of Public Health (MPH). The Tufts – Saint Anselm College MPH Pathway Program is open to students of any major and you may apply as early as your sophomore year.
Through the partnership, you can complete courses during your undergraduate Saint Anselm experience. You can enter the program with up to 12 credits completed which could help you to finish the MPH in as quickly as one year of graduating with your bachelor’s degree.

The Master of Public Health (MPH) Pathway provides a seamless transition from undergraduate to graduate education in public health.

- Courses are available year-around
- Students begin during the spring or fall semesters; accelerated term begins in the summer
The MPH degree at Tufts is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in the field of public health. Regardless of your chosen degree option (on-campus or online), the program consists of 42 credits, ensuring a comprehensive education. The curriculum is built upon key competencies encompassing:
- Evidence-Based Approaches to Public Health

- Policy in Public Health, Leadership
- Communication
- Interprofessional Practice
- Systems Thinking
Each Pathway Program Student will have an advisor at both institutions while in the program. Professor Elizabeth Rickenbach is the program liason at Saint Anselm.

Once accepted into the Pathway Program, students work with advisors to select courses from the Tufts MPH Curriculum. Students will be able to start their graduate program early and complete up to four courses (online or in-person) while they are an undergraduate student (including two from the Tufts MPH Curriculum, at no cost to the student).
