Transfer to Saint Anselm College
Applying to Saint Anselm College
We welcome non-nursing applications from transfer students for both the fall and spring semesters. We know the process of applying as a transfer student can be overwhelming. For more information about transfer admission, please contact Rich Parez, Senior Assistant Director of Admission at transfer@anselm.edu.
Transfer Talks
The Transfer Talks program is an opportunity for you to discuss the transfer process at Saint Anselm College and have your questions answered in a one-on-one meeting with Rich Parez, Senior Assistant Director of Admission. These 30-minute sessions can be held on our beautiful hilltop campus, over the phone or via Zoom.
Transfer Application Materials
In order to be reviewed for transfer admission, applicants will need to submit the following materials.
You can choose to submit either the Saint Anselm application or the Common Application. Please note that we do not accept nursing transfer applications for either fall or spring semesters.
A $50 fee is required with each application. Saint Anselm College will waive the $50 application fee for the following students:
- Visitors to Campus: Register today for an official visit before you submit your application and your fee will be waived. Students will receive details regarding the waiver within 24 hours of the conclusion of their visit.
- First Generation Domestic and International Students: For this purpose, a first-generation college student is defined as a student whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor’s degree. All other applicants can contact their school counselor to see if they are eligible for an application fee waiver.
Official College Transcript(s)
College transcripts need to be submitted from every college/university you have attended.
Official Final High School Transcript
Your high school transcript needs to be submitted directly from your high school. The transcript should include final grades from 9, 10, 11 and 12. It should also include your date of graduation. The high school transcript requirement is waived if you have earned an associate degree prior to enrolling at Saint Anselm College.
The transfer college report is required so that we can learn more about where you are coming from. To be considered official, the report must be completed by a college official. We require that a report is submitted from your current or most recent institution. Download the Transfer College Report below.
SAT Code: 3748
ACT Code: 2522
Saint Anselm College is test-optional for all applicants. Important note: If you choose to include test scores, your application will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed until test scores are received.*
Applicants may submit self-reported test scores for use during the admission process. Self-reported scores can come directly from the Common Application or a student can send us a PDF copy of their student score report. We will not accept self-reported scores in an email from the student unless the email includes the students’ score report as indicated above.
SAT and ACT test dates prior to November 15th will release results in time for scores to be considered with early action or early decision applications. If students are applying regular decision, test dates through December 15th will provide results in time for scores to be considered with their application.

Credit Evaluation Process
Transfer credit is awarded for a course at a previous college/university if the student has earned a grade of C or higher, and there is an equivalent course offered here at Saint Anselm College. Up to 64 credits can be accepted in the transfer process. A student must complete a half of the courses required for their major while at Saint Anselm College.
Saint Anselm College maintains a transfer equivalency database so that students may check to see if a course they have taken at their current or previous institution has been evaluated for transfer credit. This database does not reflect all courses that may transfer, just courses that have been previously evaluated.
Preliminary credit evaluations are completed for all transfer students admitted to Saint Anselm College. You will receive a copy of your credit evaluation with your offer of admission or shortly thereafter. An official credit evaluation is completed once you enroll at the college. In order for the Registrar's Office to complete your official credit evaluation, all final transcripts must be submitted.
If you have any questions about credit evaluations, please contact the Office of the Registrar.
