Join us IN PERSON to learn and practice essential skills and strategies for effective cross-cultural communication.
Topics include working with interpreters, navigating situations
when interpreters are unavailable, understanding legal standards, interpreting body language, and using non-verbal communication effectively.
Target Audience:
This program is beneficial for anyone working with non-native English
speakers of any language. Some Spanish phrases will be taught as exemplars.

Learning Outcome:
By the end of the program, participants will be able to describe the importance of effective cross-cultural communication in nursing practice and discuss strategies for working with interpreters, navigating situations when professional interpreters are unavailable while adhering to legal and ethical standards and develop ways to interpret and respond to non-verbal cues.
