The Eighth Saint Anselm Conference

The Eighth Saint Anselm Conference will be held April 3-5, 2025 on the campus of Saint Anselm College, Manchester, New Hampshire. The Conference is dedicated to the foundational teaching of Nicaea, the first of the great ecumenical councils, in anticipation of its 1700th anniversary in June, 2025.

โ€œAnselm on the Beauty of the Spiritโ€

Conference registration and all of the paper presentations will take place in the Geisel Library. The session papers will be delivered between 9:00AM on Friday, April 4, and noon on Saturday, April 5. The plenary address will be given on Friday evening in the McCready Event Space in the Roger and Francine Jean Student Center. The Conference will open with a reception in the library at 6:00PM on Thursday, April, 3, and conclude at 1:00PM with lunch on Saturday, April 5.

Transportation and Accommodations 

Saint Anselm College is located just outside the city of Manchester, New Hampshire, approximately fifty miles north of Boston. The Manchester Boston Regional Airport is approximately eight miles from campus. For driving directions from a variety of starting points, and for lodging and dining information, please go to: https://www.anselm.edu/admission-aid/visit/resources

If coming from Logan Airport in Boston, take the bus from the airport to North Londonderry and then an Uber or Lyft to the campus or hotel (https://www.bostonexpressbus.com/stop/north-londonderry-nh/). Alternatively, an Uber or Lyft from Logan Airport to Manchester runs around $110 one-way.

The Art of Debriefing

The Art of Debriefing is Module 2 of 4 towards the Healthcare Simulation Educator Certificate

This is a 4 week course that runs from April 16 - May 14, with a synchronous online day on April 16 from 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Our innovative online certificate program is designed to explore the various components necessary to develop and run simulation scenarios within an academic or clinical setting.
 

Target Audience:

  • Any nurse practicing in an education role who is interested in developing or working in a simulation program. This would be applicable to nurse educators in academia or healthcare facilities, preceptors, mentors, or staff nurses who are interested in learning more about this teaching pedagogy.
     
  • Each module will earn 15 Nursing Contact Hours. Each module can be taken individually. In order to receive the certificate (60 contact hours), all 4 modules must be completed.
     
  • Each module begins with one virtual live webinar from 08:30am- 4:00pm. The remainder of the program is completed online asynchronously.
