The Transitions Program is designed to assist new incoming students who come from historically underrepresented backgrounds (such as minoritized racial/ethnic backgrounds, first-generation, income-eligible, and commuter ) with their transition to Saint Anselm College. The program is meant to strengthen the academic, social, and cultural experiences of students to increase their success at the Hilltop. Transitions includes a 4-day experience before orientation, an assigned peer mentor, workshops and social events throughout the first year, and individualized support from professional staff to guide students throughout their college journey. Through participation in the program, students will gain a deeper connection with campus resources, faculty, staff, and peers to ease their transition to college life. No matter your major or class year, the 2024 Business and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Career Expo, brought to you by the Career Development Center and the TRIO Scholars Program, can put you in touch with a wide variety of organizations.

Whether you are starting to explore possibilities, looking for a career or an internship opportunity, this Career Expo is a great way to connect with employers in a more informal setting. We encourage to you ask about openings and career options, while receiving helpful feedback on your application, including your resume.

To make the most of your Career Expo visit, meet in advance with a Career Development Center team member to create or update your resume and discuss your plans. We will have a 'Career Info Table' day of to answer any of your questions, including how to follow-up after the Expo!

This interactive workshop aims to equip faculty with the knowledge and tools necessary to support first-generation students effectively. Participants will gain insights into the unique characteristics and challenges faced by first-generation students, enabling a deeper understanding of their needs and strategies to best support their success. By participating in this program, faculty will play a crucial role in promoting equity and success for first-generation students, ultimately enriching the entire campus community.
