Repair & Renew Third Annual Conference. "Truth Be Told" theme for 2023

June 26, 2023
8:30 am EDT - 12:30 pm EDT

This year, the Community Resilience and Social Equity Lab at Saint Anselm College presents "Truth Be Told" for our third annual DEIB Conference. Truth-telling is under attack, while so much community and cultural restoration work require honesty and candor. How do artists, educators, healers, and leaders tell honest stories about the world and challenges when so many obstacles can prevail against their efforts? What lessons do we have to draw from in navigating attacks on truth, or what examples do we have of the transformative power of truth in DEIJBA work? We bring together the community, corporate social responsibility leaders, and academic scholars to train tomorrow’s leaders. Scholars, Leaders, Advocates, Healers, and Artists will present.

Sessions will be held virtually via Zoom on Monday, June 26, with sessions across the day from 8:30-12:30. The conference will feature remarks from Dr. Gabriel Twose, as he shares key lessons for exploring and implementing post-conflict societal reconciliation through truth commissions. Throughout the conference leaders, scholars, advocates, healers, and artists will convene to present scholarly and practice work related to community and organization-level inclusion, diversity, equity, belonging, and justice.
