Financial Aid for New Students
Your need is determined by comparing the total anticipated costs of a Saint Anselm education in a given year with the Student Aid Index (SAI) as calculated for you and your family.
We believe that financing a student’s education is a family responsibility, to the extent that the family is able to help. Unless you qualify as an independent student by federal standards, or you have highly unusual circumstances, you must file with your parents. You should talk to a member of the financial aid staff if you believe you have circumstances that warrant special consideration.

How to Apply
After applying for admission, complete the steps below as early as possible and by the filing dates based on your preferred application plan.
Complete the FAFSA
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a free application used to determine eligibility for federal student aid programs.

Financial Aid Dates, Deadlines, and Links
Below, you will find important filing dates based on your preferred application plan.
Early Action Applicant Financial Aid Checklist:
- Apply for admission by November 15.
- Between December 31 and February 15:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- The Office of Financial Aid will notify you if any other documentation is required.
- Review your offer and contact the Office of Financial Aid at financial_aid@anselm.edu or 603-641-7110 if you have any questions.
- Pay enrollment deposit by May 1.
- Check Anselmian Aid on the Saint Anselm College portal regularly to ensure that you have no outstanding documents.
- Notify the Office of Financial Aid via email if you are declining any part of the offer.
- Complete necessary loan documentation (if accepting loans) between June 1 and July 15.
- Notify the Office of Financial Aid if you will be receiving any additional resources such as outside scholarships or VA benefits.
- Secure financing and/or pay balance due by August 1
Early Decision: December 1
Early Decision Applicant Financial Aid Checklist:
- Apply for admission by December 1.
- Between December 31 and February 15:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- The Office of Financial Aid will notify you if any other documentation is required.
- Early estimated Financial Aid offers will be based on CSS Profile with final aid offer to follow once FAFSA and any required documents are received. Early estimated Financial Aid offers will be emailed will be emailed by January 1 if you have been admitted to Saint Anselm College and you have submitted all required financial aid documentation.
- Review your offer and contact the Office of Financial Aid at financial_aid@anselm.edu or 603-641-7110 if you have any questions.

The financial aid deadline for International Applicants is February 1. You can apply beginning October 1. International citizens must complete the following information.

The FAFSA is currently available for incoming 2025-26 students.
The 2025-2026 FAFSA will be submitted with 2023 tax information utilizing the Direct Data Exchange.
