On Saturday, March 15, 2025, Saint Anselm College, the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, and the Center for Religion and Public Life will host the seventh biannual day-long academic symposium– American Elections 2024: Politics in Uncertain Times.
The conference will feature presentations on a wide range of topics connected to the 2024 elections, and we invite proposals in the areas of campaigns and elections, candidates, foreign and domestic policy and the election, the role of religion, race, and gender in electoral politics, political party dynamics, and elections at the state and local levels. We encourage proposals from political scientists as well as scholars in other disciplines. We are also open to submissions of complete panels of up to five papers. Proposal abstracts must be received by December 15, 2024, and should not exceed 250 words. Registration for the conference will be available on the New Hampshire Institute of Politics website soon.
The conference will be held in-person, and the registration fee, which includes meals for the day, is $150. The symposium format is designed to facilitate feedback and discussion. Selected papers presented at the symposium may be eligible for subsequent publication.
Further details about the symposium, including registration and a tentative schedule of events, will be available on the conference website. Please submit any questions about the conference to Kevin Doran at kdoran@anselm.edu.
