The sixth-ranked men’s lacrosse team had its record-breaking season come to an end on May 19, as they fell to fourth-ranked and top-seeded Adelphi University 12-9 in the NCAA Division II semifinals. It was the first time in program history the Hawks advanced to the NCAA championship semifinals.


As part of their Bookmark Author Series, the NHIOP hosted New Hampshire author and journalist Joe McQuaid to discuss his latest book War Fronts, Home Fires: A WWII Correspondent’s Remarkable Coverage, His Wife’s Indomitable Spirit (Ingramspark, 2023), which tells the true story of his parents during WWII.

Students enjoy a talk by Professor Elsa Voelcker, who has taught photography at the college for more than 30 years.  The recent exhibition at the Chapel Art Center, The Intimacy of Seeing: Elsa Voelcker ~ A Retrospective, highlighted Voelker’s work, with a variety of subjects, ranging from traditional black-and-white gelatin silver prints to colorful digital abstractions.
