The Center for Ethics in Society has received a grant to launch an Ethics in Policy initiative, extending our expertise in state and local public policy beyond just housing issues. After due consideration with many relevant stakeholders, we are exploring the supply and cost of healthcare in New Hampshire as an ethical, economic, and policy problem.
To that end, we have contracted with researcher Jared Rhoads at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice to write a research project on policy obstacles to the direct pay model of healthcare in New Hampshire, and on the promise of this model for increasing healthcare supply and reducing costs.
