Lent has begun, and Saint Anselm is continuing its Benedictine traditions with a number of events. From Ash Wednesday masses to the annual Easter Egg Hunt, the Hilltop is certain to be brimming with the Lenten spirit.

Campus Ministry leads events throughout the Lenten season through masses, prayer services, and more. Some of these cherished events include:

  • Small Faith-Sharing Groups: Campus Ministry will offer a variety of weekly faith-sharing and bible study groups. These include one for men, one for women, one for athletes, and more.

  • Choir Spring Concert: The Saint Anselm Choir Spring concert, “Hear Our Prayer, O Lord”, will occur on March 29th at 7:30 PM in the Abbey Church.

  • Women’s Retreat: A women’s retreat to the Grotonwood Retreat Center in Groton, Massachusetts will take place on April 5-6. The retreat is a chance to unwind and refresh before the final stretch of the semester.

  • Busy Person’s Retreat: A busy person’s retreat for those with less time to spare will take place on April 10 at 5:30 PM in the Lower Church. It is a chance for a few hours of prayer and relaxation at a stressful time of the year.

  • Holy Week Liturgies: Various liturgies will occur each day throughout Holy Week, from Palm Sunday on April 13 to Easter Sunday on April 20.

Alumni programming will also be offered throughout the Lenten season, including:

  • Annual Easter Egg Hunt: The 29th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will happen on April 13, 2025. Families are welcome, with activities such as a petting zoo, crafts for kids, and a picture with the Easter Bunny happening simultaneously. View pictures from last year’s event >
