Jillian C. (Bailey) Belmont ’08 recently won the 2021 Excellence in Nursing Award. New Hampshire Magazine, in partnership with the New Hampshire Nurses Association, honored Belmont along with thirteen other nurses, with this annual award recognizing the vital contributions that nurses make.
An independent committee selected thirteen nurses, each representing a different specialty, that focused on honoring nurses who “go above and beyond to comfort, heal, and teach.”
Jillian Belmont was recognized for her advanced practice nursing. After graduating from Saint Anselm College’s nursing program, she pursued further education, culminating in a doctorate in nursing practice from Northeastern University in 2017. She works as a neurology nurse practitioner and serves as the co-director of Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center’s Neurology Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship and as an assistant professor in neurology at the Geisel School of Medicine.
