Exploring Ethics in Helping Professions
Through a grant from the Diversity and Inclusion Innovation Fund and with the generous support of The Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences, we are pleased to welcome Nicole Sublette, LCMHC, owner of Therapists of Color New England, for a talk focused on culturally responsive and trauma-responsive care.
Nicole brings extensive clinical and advocacy experience and has been featured locally and nationally on FOX, ABC, NHPR, CBS, NBC, and in Counseling Today.
During this presentation, participants will:
- Explore how avoiding conversations about race, culture, and identity can unintentionally perpetuate harm
- Identify key ethical dilemmas when addressing intersectionality
- Confront implicit biases and harmful stereotypes that impact wellbeing
- Apply practical tools for culturally responsive, trauma-informed practices that promote healing
