About the author:
Max Boot is a historian, best-selling author, and foreign-policy analyst. He is the Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and a columnist for The Washington Post. His latest book, Reagan: His Life and Legend, was a New York Times bestseller and named one of the Ten Best Books of 2024. Boot has also written The Road Not Taken, The Corrosion of Conservatism, and Invisible Armies. He has contributed to CNN, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Foreign Policy, and advised the campaigns of John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Marco Rubio.

Drew Cline is president of the Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy in New Hampshire. Previously, he was editorial page editor of the New Hampshire Union Leader. Cline has written for over 100 publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, National Review, and The Washington Post.
