The New Hampshire Institute of Politics will host "The Future of America Debate" featuring Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA-17) and Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on November 1, 2023. James Pindell will serve as moderator.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for general seating.
Free and open to the public with advance registration.
About the moderator:
James Pindell is a reporter at The Boston Globe and an NBC/MSNBC on-air political contributor. He has covered New Hampshire politics for over 20 years, including at the Union Leader, WMUR, New Hampshire Magazine, a statewide syndicated column, and three different news start-ups. He also covered the Iowa Caucuses at the Des Moines Register.
About the speakers:
Ro Khanna is currently serving his fourth term representing California’s 17th District, known as Silicon Valley. In Congress, Ro is fighting for an economy rooted in dignity and the American Dream for the working and middle class.
Born in Philadelphia to a middle-class, immigrant family, Ro’s faith in America is rooted in his own story. He graduated from the University of Chicago and received a law degree from Yale University. He later worked on Obama’s presidential campaign before being appointed to serve as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Commerce by the newly elected President Obama.
Vivek Ramaswamy is an American business leader, New York Times bestselling author, conservative thought leader and Republican candidate for U.S. president.
In 2022, he founded Strive, an Ohio-based asset management firm that directly competes with asset managers like BlackRock, State Street, and Vanguard. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Vivek currently lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife and two sons.
