Boldly Anselmian

An Anselmian is not simply a student at our college. It’s more than that. It’s a lens that we use to experience the world around us. It means being part of a community that values values, is supportive yet challenging, and is always welcoming.

Reading Party

Reading Party

Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.

Starting on March 19, 2024, Geisel will host a weekly Reading Party each on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. for the remainder of the semester. The last party will be on April 30, 2024.

How it Works

Bring something to read (fiction, non-fiction, textbook, magazine, whatever), or pick something from Geisel's collections. We'll read for a hour or so, silently, as a group in the Reading Room. After one hour you will be invited to share what you've read with the person/s sitting next to you.

Take advantage of this time to read, learn from others, and find out about other great books to read.

Coffee, tea, and cocoa will be provided.

No RSVP required. Attend when you can.

All are welcome!

On Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 9:30 a.m., we will be meeting via Zoom to discuss "The Fraud" by Zadie Smith.

Description

Zadie Smith makes 1860s London feel alive, and recognizable. Her new novel, “The Fraud,” is based on a celebrated 19th-century criminal trial, but it keeps one eye focused clearly on today’s political populism" (New York Times, 2023).

All are welcome to attend.
