Geisel Library has a variety of study spaces across all three floors, including reservable group study rooms.
Study Rooms
Call (603) 641-7300 or stop by the Circulation Desk to reserve one of the library’s group study rooms.
Student Study Room Policy
- Study rooms can be reserved by Saint Anselm College students only, for a total of 2 hours a day.
- Present your student ID card at the Circulation Desk when checking in, where it will be held in exchange for the study room key.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late for your reservation, the reservation will be canceled.
- Make sure you and your group are out of the room when your reservation ends.
- Students in group study spaces must adhere to the library’s food policy.
If the group study rooms are in use, the Lower Level is an alternative group study space. Normal volume level conversations are allowed on this floor. Any conversations exceeding normal volume levels will be asked to lower their voices.
Student Study Room Descriptions
All are located on the upper level and have white boards. Markers are available for check out at the Circulation and Periodicals desks.
- Room 1: Maximum of six people.
- Room 2: Maximum of six people.
- Room 3: Maximum of eight people. Includes a flat screen monitor.
- Room 4: Maximum of eight people. Includes a flat screen monitor.
Keep in mind the rooms are NOT sound-proof and the floor is the silent study floor. Please be mindful of your noise level.

Faculty Study Room
A faculty study room, Creaghe Room, is located on the Upper Level adjacent to the College Librarian's office. Current faculty members can swipe their ID cards at the door to gain access to this room. This room includes sofas and comfortable chairs as well as more traditional folio desks and chairs.
