The Msgr. Wilfrid H. Paradis Archives & Special Collections department of the Geisel Library serves as the repository of record for Saint Anselm College and collects print and manuscript resources to build our Special Collections.
The Archives & Special Collections includes the College Archives; the Lavalliere Franco-American Collections; the New England Collection; the O’Rourke Saint Anselm Collection; and the Rare Book Collection. All collections are open to students, faculty, staff and alumni of Saint Anselm College as well as other researchers. Access to collections is by appointment.
In 2017 the department was renamed in honor of Monsignor Wilfrid H. Paradis, a distinguished alumnus from the Class of 1943, whose generosity has enabled the Geisel Library to provide a renovated space for processing collections and providing access to the archival, manuscript and rare book collections.
College Archives
The mission of the Saint Anselm College Archives is to document the history of the college and the people who are a part of that history through identifying, collecting, preserving, and providing access to college records that have historical, legal, fiscal, or administrative value.
Special Collections
The four Special Collections contain books and manuscripts about a variety of subjects collected by the college: the Lavalliere Franco-American Collections; the O’Rourke Saint Anselm Collection; the New England Collection; and the Rare Book Collection.
